District Employment Exchange Nayagarh

District Employment Exchange, Nayagarh came in to existence on 06.04.1993 along with creation of the new District. It covers the whole of the Revenue District of Nayagarh comprising of 8 Tahasils and 08 Blocks.

Administrative Set-up

District Employment Exchange, Nayagarh is headed by District Employment Officer with supporting staffs Head Clerk, Senior Clerk, Junior Clerk, and sub staffs. Out of which the Post of Senior Clerk and Sub staff is lying vacant. Sri Durga Charan Das OES, is working as District Employment Officer since 30.11.2017

Exchange related works

  • Registration

Registration of candidates are made online in this office. Candidates belongs to this district are normally appear this office with their required documents for registration of their name. Online registration is done at this office and they are provided with the identity card. The Total numbers of candidates in the Live Register of this Exchange is given in Annexure -1.

  • Transfer & Clearance of Registration

Candidates those are completed higher qualification or have been sifted to other district are apply for transfer of their name to concerned Exchanges in the said district or state employment exchanges Bhubaneswar or UEIGB of their region.

  • Vacancy Submission

Sponsoring of names are made against the vacancy notified to this Exchange by local employers as well as employers out side of the District and state also.

  • E.M.I activities

This Exchange covers all the employers, including state Govt. , State Govt. quasi, Central Govt., Central Govt. quasi, and Private employers, for submission of their employment figures for maintaining the statisticsal datas for sending it to DGET & State Govt. also. All employers of Public Sector establishments and only those Private Sector establishments where 25 or more employees are working are required to render the statutory quarterly return in form E.R-1 and Biennial Return in form E.R- II in respect of employment positions in their respective establishments to the local Employment Exchange for transmission to State E.M.I. Unit for consolidation and onward transmission to DGE& T, New Delhi, Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India for man power planning assessment.

Verification of Establishment record of the Employers are comes under the jurisdiction of EMI Activities. For enforcement of the provisions of Employment Exchange (Compulsory Notification of Vacancies) Act,1959, collection of data, verification and detection of the irregular recruitment as well as ascertaining in the current information from the employers in respect of employment position, occurrence of vacancies & notification thereof as well as the shortage category of vacancies if any, the regular inspection of establishments records is being conducted by the D.E.O in exercise of powers conferred on him.

Skill Development Activities

Skill development programmes are the most important activities of Employment Exchange now a days. The Executing body Odisha State Employment Mission has been changed to Odisha Skill Development Authority at the State Level. The Collector is the chairman at the District Level of the District Skill Development Agency. A number of flagship programmes.

  • Placement Linked Training Programme:-

The Placement Linked training programme is running successfully in the District. There are 03 nos. of Training centre located at ITI Campus Khandapda run by SSEPL Skills, One SDEC at Govt. ITI Campus Khuntabandha, run by IL&FS Skills, & Skill Development Centre run by SSEPL Skills at Old Town Nayagarh. This year about 700 candidates have been trained from the District.

  • Organization of Pre- Recruitment Training Camp (PRT)

This is an important activity of Employment Exchange. The purpose of organization of PRT Camp is to prepare them to appear different Defence Services. The work includes screening of candidates for undergoing 15 days P.R.T. Camp. The office has organized the PRT Camps this year with active Co-operation of the District Administration. The candidates are imparted training after selection.

  • Organization of Block Level Counseling Camp :-

The Block Level Counseling camp is Organized every year for selection of candidates to join Placement Linked training programme going on in and out side of the District with the help of District Administration in the presence of PIAs. This year counseling camp was conducted in all the Blocks of the District. A total number of 1534 candidates have been appeared in the camps out of which 872 candidates have been counseled for the Placement Linked training programme.

  • Organization of  Job fair :-

The Job fair is Organized every year for direct recruitments of candidates to join private companies and also counseled to join Placement Linked training programme going on in and out side of the District. This year 03 nos. of Job fair was Organized at Nayagarh on 26.11.2017 at Odagaon on 01.02.2018, and at Khandapada on 02.02.2018 with the help of District Administration in the presence of Employers /Direct Recruiters / PIAs. This year a total Number of 752 candidates have been selected by the employees to join in there respective companies & 920 candidates were counseled by the PIAs for the Placement Linked training programme.
