ACQUANTING PIT METHOD OF CULTIVATION TO SUGARCANE GROWERS

One ideal demonstation plot on sugarcane cultivation under the pit method of planting in village Aswasthapada,Nayagarh Block giving an yield of 65 M.T per acre over the traditional method of cultivation giving an yield of 35 M.T per acre.(Result based on crop cutting experiment by Department)

Balanced input managed successful ratoon crop (Sugarcane)

An ideal demonstration field of Sugarcane ratoon cultivation conducted in a compact patch of 10 Acres in village Gothabana, (G.P.Nandighor.Block-Odagaon) which has produced a tageted yield of 56MT/acre as compared to local managed ratoon crop giving an yield of 30 M.T per acre.

End result leads to double benefit.

1.yields more in terms of money per acre

2.Insures against drought.

To increase pulse production Grm cultivation was popularised in Nayagarh Dist.variet is ICCV-2 and CNG-469.This gave an yield of Q7.00/acre in village Kishoreprasad,gania Block.

In village Kalikaprasad ,Gania Block ,a goup of 10 farmers in a 10 acre patch.to save upland rice from drought a new thrust mixed cropping demonstration was taken which was an excellent cropIt was highly praised by farmers and pushed through motivtion to floow subsequently each year.
